CylX – what is it?

CylX is a project based on a need to develop a mobile track and trace system for breathing apparatus cylinders in the “Swap and go” type scenario.

The software uses a web based GPS and QR code integration to scan, store and report on BA Cylinders and record locations for traceability. 

The core technology is build on a JavaScript / Server side datatabase module with some good old fashioned system logic build around activities associated with BA use and maintenance.

The key fundamental idea here is KISS.  KEEP IT SUPER SIMPLE!

**UPDATE OCTOBER 15 2023**

Cylx system has now been updated to track BA sets and Facemask assets!  You can now assign a BA Set ID and a facemask ID to the CylX System and track those with notes also.

BA Sets are of the ID form “4999 BAC” for a “Classic” set and “4999 BAE” for and Electronic set.  The facemasks can be added as “4999 FM”. 

This will allow sets as well as masks to be tracked and maintenance records for each updated online.
